Privacy notice

Who we are

Connected Seniors is a student-led organization in North York, Toronto, Ontario. Our non-profit registration is in progress. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@connectedseniors.ca.

What we collect on this website

• Forms you send us. Your name, email, and anything you choose to write, such as your organization, school, availability or message.
• Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address.
• Comfort settings. Your text-size, theme and motion choices are saved only in your own browser. We never receive them.
• Reviews. If you send feedback, we only publish it if you tick the box giving permission, and only in the form you choose.

Cookies and analytics

We use no advertising cookies and we don't sell data.

• Analytics (only if you agree). If you choose "Accept analytics" in our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies such as _ga to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. We have turned off advertising features and Google signals.
• If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
• Change your mind any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
• Your choices are remembered in your browser's local storage, along with your comfort settings. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC and may be stored outside Canada. Learn more in Google's privacy policy.

What we collect in our programs

• Every participant gives plain-language consent, and taking part is always optional.
• We do not log residents' personal messages, emails or security incidents. Scam concerns are handled person to person.
• Feedback surveys are anonymous and combined. Nothing identifying leaves a facility without written consent.
• Volunteers never handle residents' passwords or financial accounts.
• Photos and quotes are only used with written consent from the person and the facility.

Volunteers

For volunteers we keep contact details, availability, attendance and hours, so we can schedule sessions and sign off hour sheets. We only share hours with you, and with your school if you ask us to.

How we use and share information

We use information only to reply to you, organize programs and keep in touch about Connected Seniors. We don't sell or rent personal information. Form submissions are delivered through a form-processing service, which stores them on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and run programs, and volunteer records for as long as needed to verify hours. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from emails at any time, by writing to hello@connectedseniors.ca.
